How to use the Yantra Mat

The Yantra Mat is 44cm in width by 75cm in height and it consists of 8,820 acupressure
contact points which are calibrated to provide equal pressure at all points. You can lie on
the Yantra Mat on your back or your stomach. Or you can place the mat on a chair or couch
and sit against it – this allows you to control how much pressure you apply. At first you may
feel a slight discomfort when using the mat, so it is advisable to wear a light cotton top
until you adjust to the acupressure effects.

The Yantra Mat is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor if on medication.

Position 1: Back

Lay on an even surface. If possible, place a pillow under your neck. This stimulates acupressure points along the spine and may help to soothe back problems.

Position 2: Stomach

Lay on your stomach as in the picture. This may improve your metabolism and loosen tightness in the diaphragm and respiratory muscles.

Position 3: Jaw

Lay down carefully with your cheek against the mat. If this feels unpleasant, use a thin sheet. This position may loosen tightness in the neck and jaw.

Position 4: Seated

You can use the mat on a regular chair, or lie down and place the mat under your buttocks. This position may loosen tension in the lumbar region and buttocks.
